Truett and Crystal Novosad have become faithful Shell Rotella SuperRigs competitors over the last 20 years. The couple has taken home many awards over the years culminating with their first Best of Show award this year in Gillette, Wyoming with their 2007 Peterbilt 379 EXHD.

The truck, named "Doc Holliday," was the first runner-up for Best of Show and won Best Interior in 2022 at the 40th Anniversary SuperRigs in Branson, Mo. The Novosads were thrilled to finally win the top prize this year, with Truett saying it's been "20 years in the making!"
The theme of the truck is based on Val Kilmer's character from the 1993 film Tombstone, "Doc was always one of our favorite characters and roles, so we themed it around him and his wittiness and outlawness" said Truett. In addition to the $10,000 won for Best of Show, the truck won the Steve Sturgess Best Theme award for its "Doc Holliday" theme.

Based in Caldwell, Texas, the couple owns a fleet called Equipment Express, which specializes in oversized and over-legal loads throughout the U.S. The Novosads entered four trucks from their fleet into the competition, with their 1984 Peterbilt 359 winning the Non-Working/Show Truck Division.

Like all truckers when asked what's next after SuperRigs, Crystal was all business "Get those trucks rolling on the road."
